There is however a large research arm that deals with social sciences and community engagement and you can still conduct research in that area. For this you don’t need to do a biology or chemistry course. This arm of research is actually what is responsible for such forums as this that helps scientists share findings of the research to the community.
There are many different types of researchers. The choice of the subjects to do will depend on your field of interest . Research can be done in any field including arts, music , medicine, business, science , nutrition e.t.c
KEMRI Kilifi mainly does research in the laboratory , in the hospital,in the community and in social sciences(studying human societies and their relationships) .
For the laboratory and medical research biology and chemistry will be required
